INTERNATIONAL SAND SCULPTURES EXHIBITION “SCULPTURES ON THE STREET”

Great novelties this year for the traditional Sand Sculptures Exhibition in Jesolo.
The event moves to the squares of the city to be closer to our devoted tourists and visitors.
Four sculptures of colossal dimensions will be realised starting from 15 July, under the eyes of visitors that, for the first time, can admire the artists at work.
The squares that will host the sculptures are piazza Torino, piazza Brescia, piazza Nember, and piazza 1° Maggio.
The theme of the 2014 edition of the Sand Sculptures Exhibition in Jesolo will be "Inferno e Paradiso" (Hell and Paradise), an artistic path between sand sculptures in different squares where the visitor can recognise the most important iconographic subjects deriving from the sacred art of our figurative tradition.
The 10 best sculptors in the world will work during the afternoon and evening bringing to light spectacular masterpieces.
The work of the sculptors will be supported by a team of 8 students of the Liceo Artistico Statale (Public Art School) M. Guggenheim of Veniceunder the guidance of Prof. Marco Lorusso.
